I watched Season 1 on DVD recently and loved it, although I have to say, it was a slow-burn love affair.

After watching the very first episode, I said to myself, "It's certainly good, but I wouldn't say it's great ."

But watching more, I felt like someone who enters a dark room with a flashlight: at first you can only see a small part of the room with the flashlight's beam. But with every episode, your flashlight beam of vision widens, and you see more...then more...of the room. With every episode of The Sopranos , the 'world' of the New Jersey Mafia became richer and more detailed.

Now I'm off to get Season 2 and the rest...!
